PORTFOLIO
Here's a few examples of what I've been up to over the 2 last years.
A bespoke design for a fantastic client, I don't think I could be more pleased with the result.
An other bespoke design this time as an engagement ring.

These Bulbs where designed to test new rendering techniques (Hybrid Path Tracing & SPPM) that were being developed for Luxrender by David "Dade" Bucciarelli. These bulb simulations have since been used in a number of scientific papers for testing various new rendering methods and techniques including Jiating Chen's paper on iSPPM in 2011. Contact me for the scene files.

A series of simple "Pack Shot Studio" test scenes, with the mother of all alcohols. Created "just for fun".

Renovations.
In this project I aimed to expand my portfolio by showing a number of skills in one place.
The project was designed to showcase not only my arch-vis talents but also my abilities with nature and landscapes.
Concept House.
This project was designed completely by myself, from the drawings to the final textures. Though this was not my first foray in to architectural design, it was the first of my own architectural drafts that I made a visualisation from.
Architectural visualiseation
Bulbs.
Here are a few bulbs that are micrometer accurate, and are true unbiased simulations, The filaments are accurate to 1/30th the thickness of a human hair. The interior bulb volume is modelled with the index of refraction of xenon gas.
Wine Bottles.
These bottles and wines where modelled purely for the enjoyment of it.
After seeing the new label designs for these wines by Blotch (the singular name of 2 very talented artists - link below), I just had to use the labels Blotch designed, they where to cool not to.
Product Visualiseation
Glittering Beauty.
The brief was simply "Design a unique ring that sings of renaissance style, yet holds it's own with a more modern crowd. Oh and her favourite stone is ruby".
A Golden Promise.
Some months after the completion of the first ring, I was again approached by the same client; this time on behalf of his soon to be son-in-law with again a very rough brief this time saying "Design an engagement ring that sits out there and says 'I'm not made in bulk'. It must be unique, fashionable and contemporary. With 3 modest diamonds (one for each year they where together so far)".

Ooi Zi Han - Modelling Portfolio (samples only).
Just a few images from a portfolio shoot I did for a client, with examples of pre & post editing.
Ooi Zi Han, is a great model to work with, he knows exactly what you want (even when you don't!). He's punctual, very photogenic, and a barrel of laughs.
Due to the location and lighting these images took some work in post, if only I could've set up more lights.
